2006 Big Brother Results - Winner: Pete
Davina McCall again hosted this the 7th series of Big Brother. Starting on 18th May 2006 to 18 August 2006 a total of 93 days. Fourteen housemates entered the House at Launch, but eight other housemates entered the House during the series, creating a total of twenty-two housemates competing in Big Brother 7. This series saw the largest number of housemates to leave without being evicted, with three exiting the House. In a style reminiscent of Charlie & The Chocolate factory 100 golden tickets were put in Kit Kat wrappers and the holders were then put in a draw to enter the Big Brother House.
On Day 44, Aisleyne moved to the House Next Door, instead of being evicted, she was joined by five new housemates: Jayne, Jennie, Jonathan, Michael and Spiral, she was told to evict three of them she chose Jayne, Michael and Jennie who were actually sent to the main house on Day 49 she was then told to evict either Jonathan or Spiral, she chose to evict Jonathan.
One of the housemates Lea Walker was the first mother to appear on Big Brother and also was addicted to plastic surgery having spent over £35,000 on operations and has also appeared in hardcore porn films that are commerically available.
The 2007 show was won by Pete Bennett who is a sufferer of Tourettes Syndrome, he gave his £100,000 winning to his mother so she could pay off her mortgage. After Big Brother he had a very publicised relationship with Nikki who he had met in the house, he has since released several singles and is due to appear at Glastonbury in 2008.
