Celebrity Big Brother

Launched in 2001 and won by Jack Dee the celeb version was full of some "real celebrities" as it was part of the BBC charity Red Nose Day each year however the quality of these people has gone downhill somewhat into what has been known as car crash TV with the celebrity just trying to cause the most outrage and revive and already flagged career.

The 2006 series was won by Chantelle Houghton who had to pretend to be a celebrity to stay in the house,– failure would have meant that she would have been evicted on Day 4. She was told to play the character of a pop star from the fictitious girl band "Kandy Floss", and that her biggest 'hit' was "I Want It Right Now". She succeeded in convincing the other housemates, and was allowed to stay.

In 2007 the show caused an outcry over the apparent bullying of the winner Shilpa by Jade Goody which had racist undertones, it received a record amount of complaints and was subject to a police investigation.
