Celebrity Big Brother Results

Jack Dee There have been five incarnations of Celebrity Big Brother so far with the first being in 2001 which was a charity version for Comic Relief. This was followed by a normal version in 2002 there was a break of a few years which saw its return in 2005 followed by the last outing in 2006. A show in 2009 is in the planning stages to follow in the footsteps of Big Brother 9.

2001 Celebrity Big Brother

In aid of comic relief 6 contestants entered the house for 8 days, this was a rare collaboration between the BBC and Channel 4 with Channel 4 showing daily highlights and the BBC showing 10 minute updates with the final being shown on the BBC as part of the Red Nose Day telethon, and was won by Jack Dee.

2002 Celebrity Big Brother

Six celebrities stayed for 10 days in November 2002, this series caused controversy with the apparent mental breakdown of the runner up Les Dennis , it was won by Mark Owen (a member of the pop group Take That)

2005 Celebrity Big Brother

A longer run this time of 17 days and with 9 celebrities, viewers tuned in to see Sylvester Stallone’s ex wife Brigit Nielsen stunned by the arrival a few days in of his mother Jackie Stallone. The runner up was Kenzie from boy band Blazin Squad and was won by Bez, dancer for the Happy Mondays.

2006 Celebrity Big Brother

This ran for 21 days and featured a total of 10 celebrities and 1 member of the public, Chantelle Houghton the first non-celebrity in a celebrity series. Her first task was to convince her celebrity housemates that she was actually a genuine celebrity herself – failure would have meant that she would have been evicted on Day 4, the runner up for this year was Michael Barrymore and the winner was the non celeb, Chantelle Houghton.

2007 Celebrity Big Brother

Danielle LLoyd The was the most controversial Big Brother that ran for 26 days and featured fourteen celebrities, UK TV watchdog Ofcom reported over 45,000 complaints due to apparent racism and bullying show to Shilpa Shetty from fellow contestants Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O 'Meara.

The show was won in February 2007 by Shilpa Shetty with former Jackson Five singer Jermaine Jackson being the runner up

2009 Celebrity Big Brother

Due to the controversy caused by Celebrity Big Brother this series was being closely monitored in case it broke any more violations, however there was only one small incident in which American rapper Coolio was warned for overuse of the “N” word.

Ulrika Jonsson was the surprise winner of Big Brother 2009 who had odds to win outright of 12/1, she beat the favourite Verne Troyer who ended up coming in fourth place. Terry Christian was also the shock runner up as he himself thought that the public would vote him off in the first week.
